Second phase of £10.1m residential scheme completes

The second phase of Palatine Gardens, a two-phase £10.1m residential development in Sheffield from Knight Knox, has been completed and residents have begun to move in.
Phase two, valued at £4.6m, was developed by Crossbow Ventures and designed by CODA Architecture, and is the final phase in this development. Located in the heart of the Shalesmoor area, Palatine Gardens is a short walk from the city centre and Kelham Island.
The development contains 46 modern 1-bed apartments as well as secure bicycle storage and interior courtyard gardens. Intus Lettings has been appointed to let and manage the homes, reporting extremely high demand from tenants, with over 50% of the apartments let prior to practical completion.
Palatine Gardens Phase two is the latest completion in Sheffield from Knight Knox, and the company has a further 131 homes in construction at Great Central on Mowbray Street.
Andy Phillips, commercial director at Knight Knox, said: “We are extremely pleased to see the completion of Palatine Gardens. Phase 1 was a popular addition to the Sheffield market, and Phase 2 has been equally well received.
“Sheffield is one of the fastest growing and most impressive cities in the North, and we are excited to be working here. We’ve got more developments in the pipeline in Sheffield and are looking forward to being in the city for a long time to come.”
Hope McKendrick, head of lettings at Intus Lettings, said: “The apartments at Palatine Gardens Phase 1 are some of our most popular homes and Phase 2 is doing equally well. We held two fully booked open days and have already begun moving people in, with strong interest in the remaining apartments, and we are anticipating full occupation in short order.”
