Senior figures to address ‘Building a stronger North’ seminar

A six-month project which has dissected important sectors of the North’s economy will conclude with three leading voices highlighting the region’s prosperity, growth potential and success.
TheBusinessDesk.com’s Building a Stronger North event, sponsored by Squire Patton Boggs and KPMG, is the final part of the State of the Region series.
It takes place from 8am to 10am on Tuesday 5 November at Squire Patton Boggs, 6 Wellington Place, Leeds.
The event is now sold out. To join the waiting list please email: events@thebusinessdesk.com
Delegates to this free-to-attend breakfast seminar will hear from Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe – the leader of Bradford Council and Chair of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority – and Ian Ball, the chief operating officer at listed property development firm Harworth.
Delegates will also receive an overview of the North’s thriving sectors from Hannah Kendrick, partner and head of the corporate team in Leeds at Squire Patton Boggs.
Cllr Hinchcliffe will discuss the importance of business and government investment across the region to bolster the North’s economy. She will also touch upon how such partnerships are strengthening.
Ball, who has been with Harworth since 2014 and was promoted to his current role in May, will discuss the importance of the North to the UK’s economy.
He will highlight why and how Harworth is focusing on strengthening the north as a business investing heavily in huge industrial and residential schemes of national importance. Ball will be able to share how such focus will attract investors and create jobs.
