Rising waste management costs prompt new partnership
A pair of Yorkshire firms have joined forces in a major deal to protect the region’s businesses from the impact of rising costs in the waste industry.
Leeds integrated waste management and energy producer, AWM has agreed a partnership with Huddersfield facilities management firm Core Facility Services.
The companies say the move will deliver greater budget and service certainty for Core’s clients.
The deal is also designed to deliver greater sustainability, supporting AWM’s commitment to waste to energy through Combined Heat and Power Plants, which last year generated enough energy to power more than 30,000 homes and businesses throughout the UK.
Justin Holley, of Core Facility Services, said: “Yorkshire businesses depend on us to take care of their waste management and compliance reporting in the most cost-effective and streamlined way possible but we have been frustrated by increasing price and service volatility from some suppliers.
“By developing a close partnership with AWM we can offer our clients more stable pricing and a far higher level of reliability whilst strengthening our relationship with a fantastic local business.”
