Listed biotech firm’s CFO resigns after less than four months

The chief financial officer of Leeds-based regenerative medical devices business, Tissue Regenix Group, has resigned for personal reasons.

Mike Barker, who was only made permanent in this role August having been interim finance director since January, will leave the listed company at the end of November.

Group financial controller, Kirsten Lund, has been appointed Group Finance Director and will resume these responsibilities with immediate effect. Lund is not being appointed to the Board of the company at the current time.
She joined Tissue Regenix in 2010 and has a wealth of knowledge relating to the corporate structure and commercial strategy of the business.

John Samuel, executive chairman at Tissue Regenix, said: “On behalf of the Board I wish Mike well in his future endeavours.

“Kirsten is an excellent asset to the management team, her knowledge and understanding of the business is invaluable as we look to drive the future growth of the company.”

Barker’s resignation is the second departure of a senior management figure at Tissue Regenix since August. The company’s CEO, Steve Couldwell, stepped down that month due to health reasons.
