Corporate finance firm boosts UK presence with Yorkshire office

Richard Goldsack

Clearwater International will be opening a new office in Yorkshire in the New Year as the business continues to grow its national and international footprint.

The business has a heritage of completing transactions in the region and says it is looking forward to growing its local presence.

Clearwater currently has four UK offices, but this will be the firms first in Yorkshire and brings the firm’s total number of offices to 17 across nine countries in Europe and Asia.

The new office is centrally located in Leeds and will be headed by Partner, and well-known dealmaker in the region, Richard Goldsack.

Goldsack joins Clearwater International with 20 years’ experience of corporate finance across the UK and Australia and has significant experience advising entrepreneurs, corporates and private equity, having worked as a corporate finance partner at Ernst & Young and most recently Grant Thornton.

The opening follows a strong year for the business including its latest partnership with Milan-based Brera Financial Advisory announced in September.

Phil Burns, Clearwater International UK managing partner, said: “We already have a well-established office in Manchester with a great network of clients in the area; increasing our North East presence will enable us to increase this reach.

“Our new office will benefit from Clearwater International’s global presence and sector expertise. We look forward to welcoming Richard and the official opening of the office in the New Year.”
