Acquisition sees digital agency strengthen its brand and workforce

Go Media, a digital agency based in West Yorkshire, has acquired a local counterpart – Online Data Intelligence, creating a Yorkshire-based software powerhouse.
Since 2007, Go Media, which has a base in Ossett, has transformed from a modest website provider to a full-service digital agency which creates innovative solutions for businesses across the country.
More recently, the business gas been creating online products for sports clubs including Featherstone Rovers, Ossett United and Yorkshire Carnegie, under the brand ‘Sportals’.
Sportals’ services give clubs opportunities to generate revenue by using a strong online presence and streamlining processes within the club.
Paul Norton, managing director of Go Media, said: “We have a hugely diverse range of clients as many of our products and services span across every industry.
“Over our twelve-year history, we have helped companies from start-ups right through to our multi-million-pound clients to streamline their processes and innovate through clever software implementations.”
As part of the acquisition, Online Data Intelligence, which has been developing ticketing and video on demand (VoD) solutions for clubs since 2015, will now be able to offer a much more inclusive service to its client base, which includes clubs like Castleford Tigers, Salford Red Devils and Wakefield Trinity, Hull FC, Huddersfield Giants, Sheffield Eagles and Batley Bulldogs.
Similarly, Sportals can now use this technology to improve its offering and make a real difference to UK clubs in the sports industry.
Steve Roberts, former managing director at Online Data Intelligence has been appointed chief technology officer at Go Media and will be instrumental in the development of new technologies and business relationships moving forward.
