New accommodation delivered following investment by University

Building services provider, HE Simm has completed its delivery of Westfield Court – a £97m student accommodation development at the University of Hull.

The project saw a former car park converted into 1,462 rooms.

The new student accommodation comprises nine blocks arranged around a central plaza. The site connected to the main university campus and alongside the rooms features a mix of formal and informal study environments as well as social spaces.

Ian Bruce, Business Unit Director for HE Simm said: “The student village is a fantastic development. I hope that students will be happy in their new environment for many years to come.”

The Westfield Court development is part of the University’s £300 million programme to deliver an exceptional student experience. The investment includes new on-campus accommodation, improved sports facilities, strengthened student services and enhanced online learning resources.
