Vehicle parts supplier gears up for growth

A West Yorkshire headquartered independent truck and engine parts distributor, has announced further plans for expansion, following the purchase and upgrade of its fleet of vans supported by a six-figure finance package from Barclays.

Imexpart (IMEX) founded by Arthur Pinkney more than 33 years ago and based in Castleford, now supplies over 15,000 customers with replacement truck parts and all makes of engine parts from its purpose built depots located around the UK, assisted by a team of more than 70 employees.

The Barclays funding will replace and update the firm’s existing fleet of commercial vehicles with 22 new Mercedes vans, to ensure the continued efficient delivery of goods to their customers many of which are guaranteed Free Same Day and Next Day delivery services.

Arthur Pinkney, owner and managing director of IMEX, said: “We are delighted to be investing further in our commercial van fleet which helps us to futureproof our services to new and existing customers across the UK.

“This will allow us to increase our capacity as well as making sure we have the best resources available to meet growing demand and deliver the highest level of customer service.”

The company has continued to grow over the past three decades, with the firm’s annual turnover expected to exceed £10m in 2019.
