Business helps supermarket giant scale up its operations

Leeds-based Nexus Vehicle Rental has supplied over 500 vehicles to supermarket chain, Morrisons, to support the retailer in meeting consumer needs throughout the pandemic.

Supermarkets are currently experiencing unprecedented demand for home deliveries. Morrisons needed to rapidly scale up its fleet, requiring a large volume of vehicles to be delivered to its stores nationwide within a very short space of time.

Nexus was able to source the vehicles requested and agree a fulfilment plan with the retailer within 24 hours of contact.

The additional vehicles will enable Morrisons to increase deliveries to its customers each day, especially the elderly and vulnerable who are in close proximity of the retailer’s stores but unable to visit.
