Property search company grows during lockdown

Property search firm X-Press Legal Services, West & South Yorkshire, is celebrating growth in the business with an office move and the addition of a new member of staff.

Following the lockdown, the company owned by Yorkshire born and bred sisters Helen Foster and Claire Ide, has seen a sharp rise in the number of searches undertaken by local conveyancing firms.

To support this growth, the company has relocated to new offices based at the Grade II listed Britannia Buildings in Briggate, Elland.

Ide said: “We feel really fortunate during current times to have been able to continue trading, and to have just had our busiest ever month where we saw an increase in orders for search reports of 50% month on month.

“This shows that home buyers have definitely bounced back with confidence. We are so proud to have moved into the magnificent Britannia building which is such an iconic property for so many in the area.”

The search firm has continued to innovate its offering during the Covid-19 crisis with the introduction of additional online facilities including new insurance and security features to enhance its suite of digital data services.

This has also seen the appointment of Aaron Jugroop, from Halifax, who joins the Briggate team in the marketing department.

Foster said: “Since joining X-Press three years ago, we are delighted to have grown to now employ seven members of staff, moved to this lovely building at Britannia Buildings and continue to be the leading provider of property searches and reports in the area.

“I am delighted to welcome Aaron on board who will be supporting us with moving the business forward, as more and more of our services are now being provided on digital platforms, especially now that many people are continuing to work remotely.”

X-Press Legal Services provides solicitors and conveyancing professionals with a complete range of property searches and reports which are at the heart of a property transaction process, related to local authority, property and environmental issues.
