Auction firm signs five-year vehicle disposal deal
Car supermarket AvailableCar has announced a five-year disposal agreement with Leeds-based independent vehicle auction G3 Vehicle Auctions.
The agreement will see up to 50,000 AvailableCar vehicles disposed of through G3’s online and physical auctions over the duration of the agreement.
AvailableCar is the first headline vendor to signal its long-term intent to remarket its vehicles via G3’s new £12m auction centre at Junction 32 of the M62, a 14-acre site opening in January 2021.
The partnership began in 2016 when AvailableCar joined G3’s growing vendor portfolio to establish dedicated timeslots in its weekly Tuesday and Thursday sales.
Vehicle volumes have grown significantly for both businesses since, with AvailableCar’s turnover recently placing it as the third largest independent dealer group in the country.
G3’s joint managing director, Matt Dale, said: “This is a significant agreement for our business.

“2020 has been an exceptionally important year for G3 Remarketing, as we began construction of our new 14-acre purpose-built auction centre in the heart of the north, significantly expanding our capacity.
“Securing this agreement with a leading brand like AvailableCar has been pivotal in supporting our exciting plans for the future and their profile of stock complements our existing profile of vendors.”

Established in 2001, AvailableCar is one of the largest independent dealer groups in the UK with four supermarket locations, including its Leeds branch, and over 5,000 cars on offer.
G3 Remarketing holds up to 14 online and in-hall vehicle auctions every month.
