Residential care home changes hands
A 59-bed care home in West Yorkshire has been sold for an undisclosed sum.
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has completed on the sale of Huddersfield’s Valley View Care Home to expanding operator Visionary Care Limited.
Valley View is a residential care home which provides personal care for old age, including those with dementia. It is registered for 59 service users.
Built by its previous owners Rex Develop Ltd in 2010, the home comprises a purpose-built, four-storey property.
Tanzeel Younas, director of Visionary Care Limited, said: “The acquisition of Valley View adds another dementia home to our existing portfolio of residential and dementia services and further demonstrates the family’s appetite for growth in the elderly care sector.
“The home is perfectly poised to benefit from our existing specialist dementia network and local infrastructure.
“The entire team at Visionary Care are excited to get to work with the amazing staff cohort in not only transforming Valley View into an outstanding home but also becoming the provider of choice for dementia care locally.

Jonathan Wickens, director of Healthcare at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, said: “We continue to see transactional activity in the care market from small independent homes to larger purpose-built care facilities.
“There has been much negativity in the sector since the beginning of March but, with the introduction of testing in care homes, the number of reported cases has dropped significantly, and we are starting to see occupancy levels rise again.
