New occupants sought for industrial properties

Two warehouses in South Yorkshire are now on the market.
Acting on behalf of M7 Real Estate, Avison Young has been appointed to market units 1 and 2 Oaks Lane, Barnsley. The units extend to 75,000 sq ft and 95,000 sq ft.
Both are currently occupied but are due to be vacated in the second quarter of 2021 and will be available from that time.
The units are around 20 years old and each has a full-length service yard, with additional parking areas. They can be occupied individually or together, on a new lease from the landlord.
Rob Oliver, principal at Avison Young, said: “We are delighted to be appointed to market these units, which benefit from a number of positive attributes.
“Availability of units of this size in the region is low, as the local factory and warehousing markets have performed very strongly since the lockdown in March and April.
“We have seen significant take up of both standing units and design and build.
“Occupier demand overall has proved robust, whilst some businesses have been hard hit by the effects of COVID-19, many others have seen strong and increased demand for their goods and services.”
