Record revenues for property regeneration specialist

Leeds-based property regeneration consultant AspinallVerdi has achieved a record 40% increase in revenue.
It has also continued to invest in its business with the opening of a new office, more staff appointments and promotions and growth in client numbers nationwide.
Founded in 2009 by chairman Atam Verdi and managing director Ben Aspinall, the firm saw its revenues in the past financial year rise from £1.18m to £1.67m.
Despite the past 12 months being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, AspinallVerdi expanded into the North West by adding an office in Liverpool to its existing bases in Leeds and London.
And following a series of appointments its workforce has risen to a total of 18.
The independent practice provides specialist property development, regeneration and town planning consultancy services to a range of regional and national clients in the public and private sectors from Guernsey to the Scottish borders.
Chairman Atam Verdi said: “During the past 12 months we have completed a range of projects which include business cases for securing growth and town centres’ funding, plan viability and employment land studies, strategic housing sites and property acquisitions and disposals.
“We continue to assist our clients to unlock development and enable growth despite these challenging times.”
Managing director Ben Aspinall added: “Our achievement of record revenue in an obviously difficult year is testament to our team and clients for their continued commitment and hard work.
“We remain determined to grow our business and to ensure we can continue to provide high levels of service to our clients.”
The Liverpool office of AspinallVerdi opened in the autumn of 2019 with the appointment of director Andy Delaney, who previously also established and led the Liverpool office of real estate advisors Colliers International.
Delaney’s colleagues at Liverpool include Jessica Mistry, who has been promoted to senior consultant.
Other promotions to senior consultant were Rachel Squire and Matthew Olive, based at the Leeds and London offices respectively while London-based Lawrence Owho was promoted to consultant.
Meanwhile, Josh Wedge in Leeds and London-based James Bullough were both promoted to the role of principal consultant.
And Christopher Molyneux has recently joined the Leeds office as a consultant following the completion of his Masters in Real Estate at Glasgow University.
Verdi added: “I’d like to welcome Christopher as a key addition to the team and congratulate our colleagues on their well-deserved promotions.
“Witnessing the progression of their careers and their delivery of an outstanding service for our valued clients reflects their dedication and hard work.
“During the pandemic, we have transitioned seamlessly to working from home and the united efforts of our entire team allowed us to achieve the highest revenue in our 11-year history as an independent business, of which we are enormously proud.”
