Leeds-based chartered surveyors, Carter Towler, have appointed a new director, Clem McDowell.

He joins the company’s office agency team, where he will work alongside Richard Fraser and Harriet Lawson.

Before joining the company, McDowell was an associate director at Jones Lang LaSalle where he gained eight years office agency experience.

During that time he was instrumental in the acquisition, sale and letting of a large number of Leeds city centre and out of town offices at developments including Wellington Place and Thorpe Park.

Carter Towler’s managing director, Ian Greenwood, said: “We are delighted to welcome Clem to the Carter Towler team; he has already made a significant impact as we are very busy across the whole of our business but particularly with office property enquiries.

“In spite of the difficulties of operating during the pandemic Carter Towler has continued to trade successfully and we are grateful to our very loyal existing clients and to the new clients we have attracted in the last few months.

“As we continue to grow by expanding the range of clients we have and our geographical reach it is vital we further strengthen our team with highly skilled property professionals such as Clem.”

McDowell added: “There’s a wealth of knowledge and experience within the company and I’m very much looking forward to contributing to that.

“My role will be to facilitate further growth whilst ensuring all our agency clients receive the best possible advice, whether they are large UK property investment funds, national and local property companies, developers or private clients.”
