Refurbishment creates new city centre work space

Wizu Workspace has completed renovations on Grade II listed building, 46 Park Place in Leeds.

The building, with its distinct dome banding and gothic revival arches, was once home to Sovereign Chambers, one of the largest barristers on the North Eastern circuit which dates back to the 1920s.

It’s founder, an Orthodox Jew called Alter Max Hurwitz, chose to defy norms and set up his own chambers, after he was unable to secure a tenancy due to the discrimination that surrounded minorities at that time.

Tom Almas, founder and director at Wizu Workspace, said: “We’re thrilled to continue the progressive and forward thinking tradition of Park Place with our brand new luxury workspace in Leeds.”

“It’s been a year in the making, but our beautiful workspace is unlike any of our other two locations in Leeds, with show-stopping meeting rooms and unique interiors.

“We can’t wait to welcome Leeds’ finest go-getters through the doors in what will be another thriving workspace in a premium part of central Leeds.”
