Work begins to construct light industrial scheme

Leeds-based developer South Parade Properties Limited has broken ground on a new, speculative light industrial/ warehouse scheme called Innovation 25, based at Bradley Business Park in Huddersfield.

The first phase of the scheme comprises two units of 5,000 sq ft and 10,000 sq ft respectively.

Robert Austin & Co are project managers for the development. Speaking on behalf of the developer, Matthew Austin said: “We are pleased to be moving forward with Innovation 25 which when completed will provide excellent new units to serve the M62 corridor, Huddersfield and surrounding areas.

“The 5,000 sq ft unit is already under offer to a national firm and we are receiving strong interest in the remaining unit of 10,000 sq ft.

“Construction of phase two is due to commence later this year and will comprise three smaller units, ideally suited to SME occupiers.”

Carter Towler and Walker Singleton have been appointed joint letting agents.

Josh Holmes, of Carter Towler, said: “We are experiencing unprecedented demand for industrial properties at present, and we expect the new units at Innovation 25 will be snapped up quickly.”
