Leeds-based national utility, drainage, and survey company, Subscan UDS, has launched a new depot in Derby as part of its regional expansion plans.

Subscan is investing more than £3m into the site over the next few months including the latest vehicles and equipment.

Its opening up of Nelsons Court on Pontefract Road, Derby took less than four weeks from viewing to completion of the lease.

Kirk Mason, of Subscan UDS, said: “We are delighted to have Unit 2 Nelsons Court as the location of our new depot.

“It is ideally situated to support our regional expansion plans and the speed with which the deal was completed means we can begin operations much sooner than anticipated.”

He thanked the firm’s solicitor, John Howe of Pudsey-based John Howe & Co Solicitors, who facilitated the speedy completion of the lease.

Howe represented Subscan, while William Speed of Salloway Property Consultants negotiated the deal on behalf of owners Ultra Investments and Lisa Poole of Actons represented the landlords.

Howe said: “Subscan is an ambitious, growing company and it has been a pleasure to work with them on this and other matters having seen them grow over the years.

“The commercial property market is buoyant with significant demand, and I am pleased we were able to work with the parties involved to make this deal happen very quickly.”
