Bellway Homes is set to further extend its presence in the East Riding area with the start of work on its development within the £200m Brough South project.

Palmers Grange will comprise of 320 new homes and the Yorkshire division of the national homebuilder says it will create up to 60 local jobs during its construction.

Paul Thornton, Bellway Yorkshire’s divisional planning manager, said: “The Brough South development is delivering 750 new homes over a nine-year period complete with all the local infrastructure needed to support such a significant development.”

“There’s a brand-new primary school, which is already open; an Aldi supermarket that is close to completion; office, retail and leisure facilities that are attracting a lot of attention; and work on the final phase of the Brough relief road is well underway. It really is a transformational project.”

The Bellway aspect of the development features two, three, four and five-bedroom semi-detached and detached homes and prices will be announced closer to its sales launch later this year. The company is due to begin work on the site later this month.

Emma Fitton-Cook, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales manager, said: “Brough South is very much a brand-new neighbourhood, but our aim with our Palmers Grange aspect of it is the same as it would be if we were building in a mature residential location.

“We’re not here to simply build houses – we are here to create homes that people will love in an environment that they’ll be proud to call home.”
