Capital gains for Yorkshire property business

Leeds-based Penguin Facilities Management is expanding with the opening of a central London office.

The business has celebrated record growth over the past 24 months and has appointed a managing director for London and the South to head the division and service the company’s growing portfolio of clients in the region.

Founded in 2018 by childhood friends Edward Wick and Rohin Dhand, the facilities management and fit-out company serves clients in various sectors across the UK.

Key clients include Easy Bathrooms, Heron Foods, Wren Kitchens, the NHS and Yorkshire-based Provenance Inns and Hotels Group.

Wick and Dhand say they are “excited” to have a London base and will be maintaining their head office in Leeds.

Wick said: “This is a significant move for Penguin – it will further strengthen our position and allow us to enhance our services for our clients based in the South of England.

“Paul Gisby, our new MD for the region, brings with him a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, which our team members and the company as a whole will really benefit from.”

Dhand added: “It comes at a crucial time for London companies looking to emerge from the pandemic and we’re absolutely committed to helping clients save on their bottom line whilst innovating further across our FM services.”

The latest move follows a series of successes for Penguin FM. In 2021 the company achieved record-breaking growth in turnover, appointed eight new team members and welcomed several new national clients.
