New head of Colliers’ Leeds office revealed
Rob Whatmuff has been named Ben Hall’s replacement as head of Colliers’ Leeds office
Whatmuff, who is lead director in Colliers’ industrial & logistics northern team, will continue in his advisory role to clients across the region, whilst taking on the additional responsibility of leading the firm’s 54-strong Leeds office.
The announcement follows the news which TheBusinessDesk.com revealed that Hall had left Colliers to create a new partnership in Leeds by joining niche advisor NorthCap.
Whatmuff joined Colliers in 2015 from his previous role as head of office at Lambert Smith Hampton and since then has been extremely active across the Yorkshire and North East industrial market, providing strategic acquisition, disposal and development advice to a range of occupier, landlord and developer clients, including; Lidl, Dixon Carphone, Jaguar Land Rover, Verdion, Tritax Symmetry, Peel Group, Glentrool Estates Group and Highgrove plc.
He is one of the principle advisors to Verdion at iPort Doncaster, Yorkshire’s high profile 6m sq ft logistics development, where in 2016 he advised Lidl on their high profile acquisition of 35 acres of land at iPort to house a 685,000 sq ft Regional Distribution Centre.
“Our Leeds office is home to some of the region’s most talented real estate advisors and as a group we’ve always had a great sense of camaraderie and enjoyment in everything we do to strive to provide best in class service to our clients,” said Whatmuff.
“I can’t wait to get stuck in, working with the teams across the office to drive the strategic vision for Colliers in the region, while guiding and inspiring the growing team to ensure our consistent high standards of client service delivery remain our top priority across all the sectors we operate in.”
Rob will commence his leadership role on 1st December 2021.
Tony Horrell, Colliers’ CEO UK & Ireland, said: “I have no doubt that Rob has the experience and gravitas to lead the team across Yorkshire and the North East. As a highly regarded and active agent in the market, Rob has his finger on the pulse of the region and this will be invaluable as he embarks on this new role as office head.”
