Late night dining venue toasts success

The latest addition to Leeds’s evening economy and the city’s first late night dining venue has launched.

Playhouse ensured Leeds hospitality industry kicked off 2022 in style with what its co-founder Kane Towning called an “unreal” sell out launch weekend.

Split over two levels, the venue which is located at Electric Press offers a ground floor with a stylish lounge and VIP tables, as well as a heated indoor courtyard and outside terrace in Millennium Square. The first-floor plays host to the restaurant and also offers luxury VIP booths that can booked for dining and late-night drinking, alongside a private dining area for up to 30 people.

With the restaurant offering diners a range of mouth-watering small and large plates, sides, sauces, and desserts, the first customers have already highlighted the sticky beef, baked lobster tail and duck rolls, and the tomahawk sharing steak as potentially signature dishes!

Playrooms other co-founder, multi-platinum selling musician and TV star, Tom Zanetti said: “It’s a one of a kind [venue] and we’re looking forward to welcoming the people of Leeds and visitors to this amazing city to something fresh, cool and different.”

Towning added that demand for the venue goes above and beyond his and Zanetti’s earlier ambitions.

He said: “Customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, the food especially is getting rave reviews – our signature small plates menu is proving a huge hit. Bookings are going crazy with dates selling out months in advance – especially our Sunday daytimes with live singers.”
