Space Festival to blast off in Leeds

Space Hub Yorkshire, one of the speakers at TheBusinessDesk.com’s Disruptors conference, is preparing for the lift off of the first Innovate Space Festival in Leeds.

The free event which is designed for early-stage entrepreneurs and innovators interested in the space sector is being run in conjunction with Leeds City Council and Leeds University Business School on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 March at the Nexus at the University of Leeds.

Space Hub Yorkshire believes that by 2030 Yorkshire and the Humber can expect space-enabled technology and services to underpin £50bn of regional growth and so the festival aims to support businesses on this journey.

With sessions covering a range of topics including why innovation is important to West Yorkshire and how space can help businesses innovate, the event looks to let businesses network over space and “spin in, spark new, scale up”.
