Record breaking year fuels growth plans for tech firm

Yorkshire-based tech start-up, The Curve Consulting, has broken through its £1m turnover target, having doubled the size of its team in the 12 months ending February 2022.

Over the same period, the business delivered on more than 120 new projects, and secured more than £500,000 worth of repeat business opportunities.

It marks the end of a record-breaking year for the business, which was established in February 2019 by entrepreneurs and industry experts Paul and James Ridgway.

The pair previously helped build and run the UK’s most successful Global Telematics Platform, which was recently acquired by Israeli firm, Otonomo.

The Curve offers a range of services from expert advice, effective training, hands-on-delivery and cloud migration solutions, all designed to help clients build and run their business more effectively and efficiently.

The company is now on track for further expansion, with plans to expand its team to meet growing demand from both new and existing clients and partners – including The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, Prospera Wealth Management and national housing charity, Shelter.

CEO Paul Ridgway said: “Starting a new business is always a challenge. Throw into the mix a pandemic, multiple lockdowns and the Government mandate to work from home and it’s safe to say the last few years have been a bit of a roller coaster.

“However, I am extremely proud to say that we have not only survived, but we have managed to build an incredible team, establish an impressive and very loyal client base, and develop partnerships that have helped us achieve the success we have to date.

“In just three years we’ve gone from a tech start-up to a well-established business with more than 20 members of staff.

“Having now exceeded our £1m turnover target we are also looking to recruit for more software developers who can help further build on our offering.”
