Speaker confirmed for the first Yorkshire Mixer

The first speaker for TheBusinessDesk.com’s new young professionals networking event series – The Yorkshire Mixer, has been revealed.

Emma Tapper, co founder of The Friendly Chemical Co

Emma Tapper, one of the founders of the Friendly Chemical Company, the zero waste home care brand which recently secured investment from Fearless Adventures and last year took home the Fast Growth Business award at the 2021 Yorkshire Business Masters will be speaking with the Yorkshire editor about the company’s journey from a garage start up to mass market success stocked in stores nationwide.

The Yorkshire Mixer has been designed to bing together the region’s young professionals, leaders and future leaders from all sectors to discuss and shape the future of God’s own county and foster a network which will shape the region for decades to come.

The first event will take place at Banyan in Leeds city centre on 5 May and includes three hours of informal networking and discussion.

Tickets for the event cost £25 + VAT and include a welcome glass of Prosecco, canapés & a drink voucher exchangeable for a glass of Prosecco, 175ml wine, pint of Coors, bottle of Peroni or single spirit & mixer.

Commenting on the new series, Yorkshire editor Ben Ormsby said: “Relationships and networks are important in business and after two years of lockdowns it’s exciting to be able to launch a new networking event aimed at bringing together the young professionals of Yorkshire.

“I for one am looking forward to the first event in May and look forward to both making new connections and catching up old ones. And for those who want to know what we mean by young professionals; well if you don’t tell, we won’t ask!”
