People: 360 Chartered Accountants; ProBiotix Health; and more

Hull-based 360 Chartered Accountants has appointed its new senior corporate portfolio manager.

Mushiirah Mohungoo, who has 10 years’ experience in all aspects of accounting and finance, both in the UK and overseas, joins from a leading London accountancy firm.

Adrian Hunter, managing director of 360, said attracting an accountant from the capital is testament to the way the firm looks after both its clients and its team.

He added: “We are thrilled to have attracted Mushiirah from London and we know she is going to be a great asset.

“Her experience as an accountant, dealing with personal as well as corporate finance, will be invaluable to our clients and will be a great resource for her to share with the team here.”

As well as proactively managing a portfolio of corporate clients, Mohungoo will lead her own team of accountants and apprentices, developing their skill set and actively mentoring them as part of their professional development.

ProBiotix Health, a life sciences company developing probiotic solutions to tackle chronic lifestyle diseases, has appointed Steen Andersen as its chief executive officer.

He will join the Wakefield-based company after completing his notice period with his current employer.

This appointment is part of a long-planned strategy to appoint an experienced industry business leader to the company to drive sales and profitability, leaving the current acting CEO to focus on finding and developing new technologies that will provide the pipeline of new products and applications to ensure future growth.

Andersen has more than 30 years’ experience in building businesses in the Probiotics industry, having been president of Deerland Probiotics and Enzymes, president and CEO of Bifodan, president and CEO of Fluxome, and vice president of human health at Chr Hansen.

Prior to joining Deerland, he was president and CEO of Bifodan, a provider of ready to market probiotic dietary supplements and over the counter pharma products. Bifodan was acquired by Deerland in November 2019.  

Andersen was integral in building these businesses, increasing global reach, revenues, and profitability.

He brings experience of selling high value turnkey probiotic solutions in international markets, building strategy and organisations and a wealth of industry contacts.

He has a strong track record of rapidly growing sales and profitability and has been involved in a number of acquisitions and takeovers in support of accelerating business growth.

Games Workshop has appointed Randal Casson, 55, to the Board as non-executive director of the company with effect from 1 July 2022.

He will assume the role of chair of the Audit and Risk Committee from this date, taking over from chair of Board, Elaine O’Donnell, who has been covering this position since November 2021 on an interim basis, pending conclusion of this recruitment process.

Casson will also become a member of both the Remuneration and Nomination Committees, from 1 July 2022.

He Randal has 35 years’ experience as a chartered accountant and has been an audit partner at PwC in Leeds for the past 22 years. He will retire from PwC on 30 June 2022.
