Yorkshire property group expands North West presence with new office

Priestley Construction Chorley office

Property contractor, Priestley Construction, has strengthened its North West presence by opening a new office in Chorley.

The Leeds-based group says the new offices represent growth for the company, which has been operating on projects across the North West for five years.

The location was selected due to the close proximity to junction 28 of the M6, providing seamless access to the North West region, encompassing Cumbria in the North up to Staffordshire, as well as Priestley Construction’s target areas of Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire.

Working out of the new offices will be Priestley Construction’s directly employed team, made up of contracts manager, buyer and two quantity surveyors, all of whom live locally. The new location provides a base for the team to service its current projects in the region, while reducing travel time and expenses.

Priestley Construction’s visiting management team, based in its Leeds head office, will also benefit from the modern and flexible new facilities for meetings with their colleagues. The new Runshaw Lane office is housed in a rural setting and includes a lounge area, meeting room and kitchen, with access to car parking.

Chief executive, Nathan Priestley, said: “The new Chorley office marks a progressive step for Priestley construction, showing the company’s strength in the North.

“It will allow Priestley Construction to deliver an even more efficient service to our clients and enhance our company growth.”

Priestley Construction is currently undertaking a number of contracts in the North West. These include the refurbishment the Old Post Office in Warrington, a Grade II-listed building, to provide 31 luxury studio apartments. The developer is also working on the construction of four bespoke, high quality houses in Knutsford set for completion in autumn 2023.

Priestley added: “I’m confident that the projects we are working on, along with secured projects in Manchester and Cheshire, will provide a catalyst to support an impressive projected growth in the North West, taking us from a current turnover of £6m to £20m in the next two years.”

Priestley Construction is one of three core businesses that make up the Priestley Group, each focusing on a different aspect of UK property, developing mills and offices into residential apartments and providing major construction services to worldwide developers or estates and management.
