Office revamp to support expanding recruitment business

International executive recruitment company Mackinnon Bruce has had its offices in Park Row, Leeds, refurbished as it grows from 50 to 85 employees.

The new design brings four separate business units under one roof, providing the recruitment firm with quality workspaces designed to boost innovation through collaboration.

The revamp also includes a new kitchen with a bar for social events, state-of-the-art training areas and improvements to IT and communications.

A reception area leads to booth seating and the breakout area now features a ceiling-to-floor graphic of the Beatles.

Works were carried out by Leeds-based commercial interior designer, Design Tonic.

Amanda Cook, director of Design Tonic, said: “It was really important for us that we created a space which works with our client’s needs.

“Andy and the team at Mackinnon Bruce were very keen on creating different working zones within the office so we added wooden tiered seating and high tables to promote collaborative working with individual acoustic phone pods to create a private area where staff can work quietly or take a private call.”

Andy Bruce, managing director at Mackinnon Bruce, said: “It’s made a massive difference to our business. We’ve been able to give each business unit its own space to grow but still maintain a group atmosphere so we’ve got the best of both worlds.

“The finish of the work is really impressive and it’s a major improvement on what we had.”
