Wetherby Beer Festival attracts raft of big-name sponsors

Some of Yorkshire’s best-known businesses are backing the Wetherby Beer Festival, billed as the town’s largest ever festival attracting thousands from across the region.

More than 75 businesses from across the region have signed up to support the Festival including TheBusinessDesk.com, Manning Stainton estate agents, Caddick Group, Schofield Sweeney solicitors, My Recruitment Career and Progeny. More than 90 per cent of sponsorship packages have been booked, with the corporate event on the Friday evening almost a sell-out.

Sales of tickets for the two-day event taking place Friday & Saturday April 28-29 April, are now on sale and the festival are expecting thousands to attend, with all funds raised going towards the Grange Park sports clubs and facilities, as well as supporting Martin House Children’s Hospice.

More than 45 artisan, local and regional beers, alcohol free options, ciders and stouts will be on offer and organisers are also determined to make this a real family affair. There will be live music, a gin bar, cocktail bar, champagne lounge, free children’s entertainment, and locally sourced street food concessions, all part of the two-day festival.

The over-18s only business networking event will take place on the Friday evening with Saturday’s ticketed event open to all ages with up to three children, 12 and under, allowed in for free with every paying adult. Doors open 5-11pm on the Friday and 12noon until 11pm on the Saturday.

Deborah Kelly, Chair of Wetherby Beer Festival, said: “All the profits from the Wetherby Beer Festival will be invested back into Grange Park, helping us to keep local sports thriving, as well, we are delighted to be supporting the much-loved Martin House hospice. We’re so overwhelmed the response so far and it simply wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of all our business supporters.”

Anyone wanting to get the latest updates or tickets can follow the Beer Festival or the local bands that are appearing via the Beer Festival’s website or Facebook page (@WetherbyBeerFestival).

Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.wetherbybeerfest.com starting from just £7 for Early Bird offers. There are still a small number of sponsorship packages also available which can be tailored to a business’ brand or requirements.
