Investor joins IT hardware specialist as chairman
Entrepreneur Ryan McCarry has joined Intelligent Servers as chairman and director after investing in the firm.
Harrogate-based Intelligent Servers is a specialist sustainable tech business founded by Andy Hughes in 2011, buying and selling refurbished enterprise IT solutions to a broad range of businesses in the UK and abroad. The firm says McCarry will play a vital role in the company’s strategic development and accelerated growth.
McCarry was the founder of Sleek Networks, a data centre and cloud service provider which was acquired in 2013 and is now part of US giant Rackspace. He went on to become the investor and chairman of Concepta Capital, a managed data and cloud service provider that made multiple IT acquisitions before being bought by Iomart Plc for £16m in the summer of 2022.
As a successful tech investor in IT, cloud and SaaS companies his experience and expertise in business strategy, operations and acquisitions will be instrumental in driving the company’s growth and expansion goals.
