Wholesale drinks supplier opens £7m distribution depot

LWC Drinks has launched a £7m new depot in Balby, Doncaster.
The 58,164 sq ft distribution facility, in Herons Way, was officially opened by Doncaster Civic Mayor, Councillor Ian Pearson.
The depot is LWC’s 15th site and further opens up the business to operations across South and East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
Pearson was hosted at the launch by LWC’s managing director, Ebrahim Mukadam and regional manager, Doug Trotman, along with 30 of LWC Doncaster’s local employees.
Pearson said he could not wait to see how the business develops in the area, adding he was grateful for the jobs and opportunities the business has brought.
During the opening, Mukadam and Trotman showcased a selection of LWC’s range of wines, beers, soft drinks and spirits. They also outlined plans for charity partnerships, as well as other expansion ambitions.
