Yorkshire Business of the Year: Spotlight on International Trade

Award winners at the Yorkshire Business Masters 2022

Yorkshire and Humber exported £17bn goods and £12bn services in 2021 – the latest figures available from the office of National Statistics.

The biggest goods exporting sector was manufacturing (£12bn), with financial and insurance activities (£5bn) topping the services exports.

The EU is the region’s largest export market, followed by the USA.

Imports totalled £36bn.

The Yorkshire Business of the Year Awards’ International Trade category, sponsored by Verlingue, recognises those businesses that are entering new markets or achieving significant growth in existing markets.

Last year’s winner, Crisp, built a global business from its Leeds headquarters, culminating in its acquisition by Kroll.
