Office deal marks fresh expansion for human rights law specialist
Commercial property advisors from professional services business Knights assisted law firm Leigh Day with its growth strategy by taking on a floor at One City Square, in the centre of Leeds.
The deal secures Leigh Day’s ninth office, as it builds a UK-wide presence.
The firm, which is headquartered in London, specialises in human rights law – along with other key areas including personal injury, clinical negligence, and employment.
It has taken a lease on the eighth floor of the 12-storey One City Square. The 10,000 sq ft floor was previously occupied by Deloitte, which has three further floors in the recently refurbished office building.
Knights partner Erin Vickers said: “One City Square is ideally placed for Leigh Day to make its mark in the city.
“We have been working with the firm for a decade and a half and have been pleased to support its strategy for growth into the UK regions.
“Knights has assisted with a number of Leigh Day transactions including office leases in London and Manchester.
“Its move into Leeds means it is perfectly positioned opposite Knights’ own office in the city, which is a great place to do business.”
The agent for Leigh Day was John Martyn of Spring 4 and JLL was the agent for Deloitte.
