City’s largest conference centre relaunched following £1m hotel investment
Cedar Court Hotel Bradford has reopened its doors to guests following an extensive £1m, six-month refurbishment.
Works have included a full overhaul of the building’s conference and hotel facilities to create new opportunities and attract visitors to Bradford.
The hotel’s conference and events centre has a capacity of up to 800 guests.
Refurbishments also feature upgraded and refreshed bedrooms, corridors, lounge and bar areas, restaurant, meeting rooms along with a new ground floor co-working space and restaurant.
Part of the upgrade includes a £250,000 investment in solar panels to cut costs and minimise the hotel’s environmental footprint.
The hotel is part of Yorkshire’s largest independent hotel group, Cedar Court Hotels, which turns over £18m annually and attracts 500,000 visitors to its four hotels across the region.
A celebration event to mark completion of works takes place at the hotel on 8 November from 6pm-7.45pm.
Wayne Topley, Cedar Court Hotels group managing director, said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming guests back to Cedar Court Hotel Bradford after six months of refurbishment and part of our £3.2m investment across the region.
“We wanted to create light, open and contemporary multi-use spaces to support the overall purpose of the hotel which is to bring people together and solidify our role as not just a hotel but as a pivotal business and community hub in the region.
“We know how important it is to work closely with our local community, and we’re excited to be welcoming business leaders and professionals on 8 November to celebrate, network and create new opportunities to work together ahead of the 2025 City of Culture.”
Bradford business leaders, including Davide Longo, commercial director of Bradford City, and Chamber of Commerce manager, Liz Wood, and will be speaking at the event, which will include a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Guests will also be invited on a tour of the new and upgraded facilities.
