During his career, he has advised both corporates and private equity houses.

It further supports clients to prepare for transactions through its Value Creation, Valuations and Data Analytics teams.

The Deal Advisory client base includes corporates, ranging from mid-market to listed entities, and private equity houses, such as Endless, LDC, BGF, Hanover and Livingbridge.

In October 2023, the firm appointed managing director Louise Smith to lead Transaction Services across the North as part of Interpath’s strategy to scale-up its Deal Advisory services, which comprises a team of over 150 professionals throughout the country.

Smith, head of transaction services at Interpath Advisory in the North, said: “We are building a formidable, best-in-class deal advisory practice in the heart of the UK’s dealmaking communities.

“Attracting the best talent in the market is key as we continue to support our clients maximise value through sales processes and provide focused, value-driven advice that investors look for pre-transaction.

“We’re thrilled to have Robbie on board in Leeds as we help our clients in the region and beyond navigate today’s ever-changing economic environment.”

McFaul added: “I’ve been impressed by the scale that Interpath and its Deal Advisory team have already achieved, but also the thriving entrepreneurial culture and multi-disciplinary model.

“It is an exciting place to be and the perfect moment to join as we build a proposition that really challenges the market for the benefit of corporates, investors and business owners.

“It is a privilege to join Louise and her team and I can’t wait to get stuck in at such a critical period in the regional dealmaking market.”

A Yorkshire-based HR consultancy is marking its sixth anniversary with a growing list of clients and new team members.

Norton Loxley, which has offices in central York and in Thirsk, recently celebrated the anniversary by adding a new full-time team member, Louise Cocking to the team.

She joins as HR Consultant and brings with her a wealth of HR experience working in-house working for companies across a number of sectors including professional services and construction.

Managing director, Siân Whelan, said: “We’re pleased to add Louise to the team – from her time working in-house for a number of organisations she brings exactly the kind of experience our clients are looking to tap into.

“Our growth over the last 12 months has been driven by clients who are looking to not just outsource their HR function, which has traditionally been the role of HR consultancies, but who are also looking at how adding strategic guidance in this area can help them to scale their businesses.

“Despite the challenging economic climate we’re continuing to see businesses invest in outsourcing their HR as a way of engaging and retaining their teams without the need to invest in an in-house team.”

Cocking said: “It’s an exciting time to be making the move from in-house human resources to a consultancy and I’m excited to get to work with Norton Loxley’s clients.”
