HR consultancy expands into office premises after five years of growth

York-based HR consultant, McMillan & Associates HR, has marked five years of business by opening a new office.

The new office is in Marsden Park Clifton Moor and will include a hub for local businesses as well as a base for the consultancy’s own staff.

McMillan & Associates HR’s seven-strong team of HR and leadership development professionals all previously worked from home.

The consultancy was established in 2018 by its managing director, Natalie McMillan, a former HR professional and CEO, with the aim of providing straightforward HR and organisational development advice for small businesses and their leaders.

Part of McMillan’s vision when she started the business was to create a space where other companies could meet and support each other.

The new office therefore features affordable hotdesking and co-working office spaces where small and start- up businesses can work alongside the McMillan & Associates HR expanding team. It has enough room to host in-person training and networking events.

McMillan said: “It is fantastic to be celebrating five years of business and I am so proud of what we have achieved as a team, especially as the pandemic came very soon after we launched creating many challenges for businesses.

“We are very thrilled to be able to expand into our new premises and to be creating a space for shared creativity, learning, development and collaboration for the local business community.

“Working closely with incredible clients has been the heart of our journey. Every piece of advice and every solution we provide is personal and we are looking forward to continuing to do so as we grow.”

The firm will host an open day at its new office and business hub on 22 March from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
