A developer will build more than 20 new homes in North Yorkshire after completing on a new site.

Following recent acquisition of land in Burneston, Thomas Alexander Homes says it should begin work later this summer on a new development in the village – Hartley Vale.

It will include 23 homes in total, comprising a mix of two, three, four, and five-bedroom properties.

Of these, seven homes will be designated as affordable housing. The remaining 16 homes will be available for private purchase.

Alex Blease, managing director at Thomas Alexander Homes, said: “Following the recent openings of our Manor Gardens and Monk’s Court developments in Brafferton and Bagby respectively, we’re thrilled to have already set the wheels in motion on our next project, which allows us to continue pursuing our ambitious growth plans.

“Hartley Vale will contribute positively to the local area, providing high-quality, future-proof homes that blend seamlessly into the existing landscape, while also creating a vibrant and inclusive neighbourhood that fosters a sense of belonging among its residents.”

Construction on the new development is expected to start from August 2024, with completions anticipated from spring 2025.
