Development work begins to deliver more than 200 homes

Work is now underway on a substantial new housing development to the south of Castleford.

House builder Persimmon says its Pinewood Grange scheme will deliver 201 homes, including a mix of two to four-bedroom houses and apartments.

The new estate is on a rural site a quarter of a mile from Castleford town centre and all the new homes will be equipped with air source heat pumps and electric vehicle chargers.

Lisa Jones, sales director at Persimmon West Yorkshire, said: “We are excited to begin work on the Pinewood Grange development.
