Driving force behind ambitious city centre regeneration project takes centre stage at Bradford Business Lunch

Bradford city centre is set for a once-in-a-generation makeover in the coming years.
And you can hear directly from the man central to the ambitious plan at our next Bradford Business Lunch on Wednesday November 20 at The Midland Hotel from noon to 3pm.
Simon Dew is the development director for mixed-use regeneration specialists Muse, the driving forces behind two of the biggest property developments in the West Yorkshire City, which is the UK’s City of Culture next year.
One City Park, a 56,000 sq ft office complex, built on the site of the city’s former police headquarters, was completed at the end of last year.
And following quickly on its heels is the transformative ‘City Village’ scheme, which is planned to deliver close to 1,000 city centre homes in the former Kirkgate and Oastler Markets areas.
This has been done in collaboration with Homes England and investor powerhouses Legal and General under their strategic joint venture (ECF).
A draft masterplan was released by architects 5plus in May and the 10-year project is due to be submitted to planners next spring.
Simon will share the latest on City Village’s progress and highlight the fascinating challenges posed by such an ambitious scheme.
The lunch at the Midland Hotel includes a drink plus a two-course lunch and you can book your tickets here.
