Young Entrepreneur Award winner definitely had vision to spice up her life
There is something very exciting about an enterprising young person making his or her mark in a hotly-contested sector that has, seemingly, seen everything.
Step forward our 2024 Emerging Entrepreneur Leader winner Danielle Best, the founder of Mexi Bean Express, a Mexican fast food chain with outlets in five West Yorkshire locations.
In the best traditions of someone with a good idea slogging their guts out so the dream became a reality, Danielle really did lead from the front and had to be every department in the business in the early stages.
For a company formed in May 2021, Mexi Bean Express gathered momentum quickly but the owner also had her eyes on another related market. In June she launched Kalm in Brighouse, ‘an exclusive fitness and wellbeing studio providing a holistic approach to nurturing body, mind and soul through various classes, treatments, activities and superfoods’.

There is also the Young leader U-35 prize, which this year went to the inspirational Charles Draper of the Sure Group. He has been Group Managing Director for more than ten years. His company supplies staffing and logistics solutions and has a healthcare speciality.
