Extra Company Leader category added for 2025 Leadership Awards
Special people rise to the top in business and whether the company has five or 500 employees, the demands of leading it are considerable on so many levels.
Earlier this year we recognised the achievements of two of our finest but for the 2025 Leadership Awards in March there is an extra Company Leader category so, rather than splitting it into ‘up to 100 employees’ and ‘over 100’, SME bosses have more of chance.
This time around it will be arranged as followed:
* Company Leader (up to 50 employees)
* Company Leader (51-100 employees
* Company Leader (100+ employees)
At the 2024 prizegiving earlier this year, The Park Lane Group’s Naveen Ahmed won the ‘up to 100 employees’ prize after another excellent year for the Leeds-based property developers. The company, run by two brothers, has been influential in changing the Leeds skyline over the last 30 years.
Sean Ramsden
In the ‘over 100 employees’ category, Sean Ramsden MBE of Ramsden International was celebrating. His Grimsby-based business remains the leading wholesale exporter of British food brands, shipping to 133 countries.

We’ve also added three more categories for next year’s showpiece so if you work in hospitality, education or manufacturing, you could be the one carrying off an inaugural prize at The Royal Armouries in Leeds on March 20th. We’ve also split up sales and marketing so they have their own category.
You have until November 8th to submit your entry and the shortlisted entrants will be announced in January.
