Administration looms for city restaurant group
A group of Spanish restaurants headed by a Michelin-starred chef faces an uncertain future after posting a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
Iberica, which has a site in Leeds as well as four bases in central London, alerted administrators earlier today. (3 December)
Professional services firm, RSM, is understood to have been lined up to handle the insolvency.
Iberica’s parent firm is Iberica Food and Culture. It counts Nacho Manzano, a prominent chef from Asturias in north-western Spain, as its head chef.
The group launched its first restaurant in Marylebone, central London, in 2008 then expanded to other parts of the capital.
In 2016, it opened a site in Hepper House, East Parade, Leeds.
