Work begins to create one of UK’s largest indoor trampoline and adventure parks

Development has started to establish one of Britain’s largest indoor trampoline and adventure parks at Coal Road in Whinmoor, Leeds, with plans to open later this year.
Through a multi-million pound investment in a 100,000 sq ft site, UK family attraction group, Flip Out, has started building a facility which will include a trampoline arena connecting 150 trampolines, an inflatable obstacle course over 18,000 sq ft, a dodgeball arena and multiple party and conference rooms.
It will also feature a zone of super slides of varying heights and speeds, a multi-storey Ninja Playground, a drift bike arena, a roller disco, soft play, an arcade area and dodgems.
Richard Beese, co-owner of We Do Play, which operates Flip Out and other immersive leisure and hospitality experiences including Activate at London’s O2, said: “We are so excited about launching what is set to be the biggest indoor adventure park in the country, in Leeds.
“More than two million people live in and around Leeds and there aren’t a huge number of indoor entertainment venues for a city of its size and character, so we are buzzing to be bringing this phenomenal entertainment destination to the area and creating more than 60 jobs in the process.
“The site is so big we will introduce some stand-alone concepts too, making it the ultimate entertainment destination in Yorkshire. We just know it’s going to be popular.”
There will also be 10 party rooms, as well as corporate meeting rooms for local businesses to use for networking events.
Beese said Flip Out’s new centres reflect the global trend for competitive socialising within all age groups.
He added: “We Do Play and Flip Out has been leading the way in immersive activity based socialising concepts and we are constantly evolving the experiences that we are creating in the world of active entertainment.
“This centre houses so many different thrilling, fun activities under one roof and reflects our aim to dominate the industry, by bringing high energy, immersive fun to people of all ages to cities across the UK.”
Confirmation of plans to open the first-ever Flip Out in Leeds follows new 2024 openings in Coventry and Watford. These bring the number of Flip Out indoor adventure parks in the UK to 35.
