Ingrams strikes deal with fellow law firm

LAW firm Ingrams Solicitors has acquired the wills and probate, civil litigation and residential conveyancing case work from fellow Hull practice Max Gold Law.

Ingrams, based at Priory Park in the city, has acquired the departments to expand its core services in a deal that will also see four members of staff transfer from the vendor.

The move follows the strategic decision by the firm to close its personal injury department and pass its personal injury caseload to Neil Hudgell Solicitors last month.

Ingrams will now concentrate on supplying corporate law services including employment law, debt recovery and commercial conveyancing alongside the private client caseloads it has purchased.

Founder and Managing Partner Paul Stott said the move represents the evolution of the 10-year-old law firm and would help safeguard future growth.

Mr Stott said: “This is a landmark agreement for Ingrams Solicitors and an integral part of our ongoing development strategy.

“The move will enable us to consolidate and grow our core areas of business. It is across these departments that we will be focusing our efforts for the future.”

He added that Max Gold, founder of Max Gold Law, will continue his own criminal practice but will also work with Ingrams to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible for the clients moving to the new practice.

“Max is known throughout the industry for the high level of service he routinely provides,” Mr Stott said. “I am keen to reassure his private client base that those values are shared and will be extended by Ingrams.”
