Summit to set out economic future

BUSINESS Minister Mark Prisk will today set out how local enterprise partnerships will be a key factor in growing the UK economy at a one day conference in Leeds.
The local enteprise partnership summit will see public and private sector leaders from across the region join representatives from businesses at the Royal Armouries to discuss the future of the Yorkshire economy.
The Leeds City Region LEP, which is organising the event, will also use the event to launch its strategy following its recent success securing an enterprise zone for the Aire Valley.
Creating a workforce with the necessary skills, delivering infrastructure the region needs, and turning the Leeds City Region into a world-leading low carbon economy are among the topics due to be discussed.
There will also be a debate on how the region’s four local enterprise partnerships can work together in the collective interest of the Yorkshire economy.
