Trading sweet for Haribo

HARIBO, the Yorkshire-based business and the UK’s leading gums and jellies brand, has grown its market share to 26%.

The firm, which has recently been ranked as 72 in a league table of Britain’s Biggest Brands, boasts three top selling lines – Starmix, Tangfastics and Kiddies Supermix – as well more than 50 other innovative sweet collections.

Starmix celebrates its 15th anniversary this year while Pontefract Cakes are set to appear in limited edition packaging as the product celebrates 250 years.

Managing director Herwig Vennekens said: “The news that we have jumped six places in the Grocers league table is testament to a lot of hard work and dedication from the team here at Haribo.”

“We continue to offer innovations that lead the market and deliver year-on-year growth and positive performance. We hope that consumers will continue to enjoy our products and that the new additions we have planned for this year will be just as popular.”
