Deal agreed for business park

A YORKSHIRE business park has been bought in a £5.05m deal.

Henderson Global has acquired Lowfields Business Park in Elland, Halifax, following the transaction, which was brokered by GVA’s investment team on behalf of LaSalle Investment Management.

Lowfields is an industrial and office park with four modern distribution units covering 116,244sq ft.

The park was built in 2001 and its tenants include Triangle Wholefoods, which trades as wholesaler Suma, and diesel fuel injection systems specialists Feather Diesel Services.

It is also home to industrial automotive experts Terberg DTS (UK) and medical technology provider KCI Medical.

Charles Fletcher, of GVA’s investment team, said: “The deal GVA has brokered for Lowfields shows if the correct marketing approach is made combined with the availability of a high-quality, modern site in the right location, prospective purchasers will still invest despite the

challenging market conditions.”

The deal for Lowfields is the second industrial site in Yorkshire that GVA has successfully sold on behalf of LaSalle this year.

The first deal comprised the £7.32m sale of a nine-acre site occupied by Corus Group, now trading as Tata Steel Europe, in Wortley, Leeds.
