Divisions launch reflects growth at HCM

HARRIS Construction Management is to launch three new divisons as it looks to create new jobs following a period of growth.
The company has grown annual turnover to £20m. It is headquartered at Thorpe Park in Leeds and also has an office in Immingham.
HCM is launching ‘hcm projects’, ‘hcm interiors’ and ‘hcm facilities’ which will specialise in construction management, fit out work and facilities management respectively.
The company, which employs a team of 24, will also expand into a larger office suite at Thorpe Park, where the company is already based, next month.
Managing director Jason Adlam said: “We started the business in late 2007 when the economic downturn was hitting the construction industry hard and most people thought we were mad, but our strategy of delivering on our promises meant that we secured contracts with several leading blue-chip companies including Asda, Coca Cola and Arla Foods in our early years and all these are all still with us today as long term clients.
“The launch of these three divisions reflects our confidence in the business which has grown in line with our clients over the last five years.
“Our proven track record for delivering projects on time and within budget has meant that we have become the contractor of choice for Asda whilst also winning key contracts in the industrial, commercial, residential, and restaurant markets.”
Recent contract wins for HCM include projects for Asda nationally and a 2012 capital and revenue investment programme at a combined value of more than £8m.
The company has also won several further projects for Coca Cola and PepsiCo UK as well as a multi-million pound deal with Nando’s to manage the refurbishment of its Edinburgh and Kent restaurants having already delivered a number of other successful projects for the chain over the last two years.
In addition, the company has recently started work on two further restaurants for Goodman at Mayfair and Canary Wharf in London.
Mr Adlam added: “Our directors have worked for some of the biggest names in the construction industry for over 20 years and by combining our skills we have been able to become the best in the market place with the majority of new business coming from existing client referrals.”
