MCG PR on the move

MCG PR is marking a successful decade in business with a move to new premises, new business and new recruits.

The Leeds-based consultancy, which also opened in London last year, is staying in Chapel Allerton, but moving to a larger ground-floor suite on Harrogate Road.

Sarah Chadwick, director at MCG PR, said the company had also recently appointed new account executive Jessica Bennett to the consultancy, which has grown year on year and continues to win new business across its consumer and business-to-business portfolio.

Its clients include major manufacturers, catalogue and online clothing specialists, law firms, national franchise operations and consumer brands.

Ms Chadwick, who is a non-executive director at nearby bar, cafe and arts centre Seven, said: “Our client base in the thriving food and drink sector continues to grow, with latest commissions including brand development PR and a social media campaign for Authentic Asia – for CP Foods (Thailand); PR for the WeightWatchers iced desserts range by Icefresh and promotion of new products for the Champagne Warehouse.

“As members of deliciouslyorkshire – the campaigning brand for the regional food group for Yorkshire – we’ve also been showcasing some of our region’s most innovative products to the UK’s top food writers.

“In business and professional services, another very strong area for us, we’ve also recently been appointed to handle national PR for TaxAssist Accountants, the largest national network of independent accountants working specifically for small business.

“The appointment follows the success of MCG’s UK-wide regional PR support programme for the network’s 200 accountants. We’ve also been appointed by Cost Advocates, costs law advisers to the UK’s top insurance companies and LandlordAssurance.com, a unique online referencing service for the property industry.”

MCG provides strategic and tactical PR programmes for its clients, advocating an integrated communications approach, embracing social media, traditional media relations, internal and stakeholder communications and crisis management.

Its senior practitioners have a breadth of experience, including journalism and in-house PR roles with major energy companies, national service providers, law firms, fashion houses and universities.

Ms Chadwick added: “Our plans for growth revolve around the needs of our clients and that currently means expanding our team in both Leeds and London. The London team gives us an invaluable point of liaison with the national journalists and publications that are fundamental to many of our clients’ PR requirements.”

MCG is also celebrating an unbroken four-year run of gold award wins at the Chartered Institute of PR’s annual PRide Awards.
