Charity fashion ball promises to be biggest ever

BUSINESSES and organisations from across Yorkshire have thrown their weight behind a fashion show which will see professionals take to the catwalk for charity.
The Professionals Fashion Show Ball 2008 will see cash raised at the event donated to Breakthrough Cancer Care.
Aspiring models from Yorkshire’s professional community will wear fashions ranging from the high street to catwalk designers at the event, which is taking place at Saviles Hall at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
Guests will be given the red carpet treatment at the ball, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and there will be a 10-scene catwalk show and celebrity prize draw.
Numerous organisations are supporting the event, including The Law Society, Institute of Directors, Professionals Marketing Forum and Leeds Chamber of Commerce, as well as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Eversheds, Deloitte, Barclays, Cattles, Bank of Scotland, Asda, Armstrong Watson, Royal Bank of Scotland, Grant Thornton, Ernst & Young, Naylor Wintersgill and Sewell Moorhouse.
Lisa Crampton, organiser of the fashion show, said: “The support we’ve had already has been fantastic and we are looking to host over 500 professionals on the night, making it bigger and better than ever.
“Everyone has really got behind the event and this year we hope to raise even more money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.”
Fashion sponsors include La Redoute, Debenhams, Zara, Tunnel and Hawes & Curtis.
A table of 10 guests at the event, which takes place on May 16 from 7pm, is priced £550 and VIP table packages are available as well as a number of sponsorship opportunities.
